2027 Race Schedule

Joseph Saddington's 2027 season is built around one week in October: the SCCA National Championship Runoffs return to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the first time since 1993. Around it sit 16 race weekends across seven circuits in four states: the Hoosier SCCA Super Tour and SCCA Majors from January to August, the FARA USA Pro Spec Miata season, and SCCA regional weekends at Sebring, Daytona, Roebling Road and Road Atlanta. Car #81, the TOSHI Pro Spec Miata, runs every one of them.

Dates follow the 2027 calendars published by SCCA (the Super Tour list is tentative), FARA USA and the SCCA regions as of November 2026. Entries are confirmed event by event, and this page is updated as each series finalizes its schedule.

Sixteen weekends in date order. Dates are race days; most weekends add a test day on the Thursday or Friday before.

The Runoffs Come to Road Atlanta

The SCCA National Championship Runoffs, the single-race national championship for every SCCA Club Racing class, run October 17–23, 2027 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, the first time the event has been held there since 1993. Spec Miata was a Runoffs class in 2026, and the 2027 class list is due by January 1, 2027.

Under the 2026 qualification criteria, a driver earns a Runoffs invitation with three Majors or Super Tour weekends and three race finishes, or two Majors weekends plus two regional weekends. Joseph's four Super Tour and Majors weekends between January and April are built to meet that bar early, with the Super Tour and regional weekends at Road Atlanta in March and July adding laps on the championship circuit.

Collegiate Racing Series

The Collegiate Racing Series, which Joseph loves supporting, ran its 2026 championship weekend alongside the FARA Race of Champions at Homestead-Miami Speedway. CRS has not yet published 2027 dates; the calendar above will be updated when it does.

Venue Profiles

Sebring International Raceway — Sebring, FL

Three 2027 weekends run at Sebring: the Super Tour season opener in January, the FARA Sebring 200 in May, and a CFR-SCCA regional on the Club Course in June. Built on the runways of a Second World War airfield and home to the 12 Hours of Sebring since 1952, the 3.74-mile, 17-turn full course mixes concrete and asphalt sections whose bumps test chassis setup and driver adaptability in ways that smooth modern facilities cannot. The Club Course uses a shorter configuration for club racing.

Homestead-Miami Speedway — Homestead, FL

Four 2027 weekends run at Homestead: the SCCA Majors in January and three FARA rounds, the Miami 500, the Miami Grand Prix and the Race of Champions. The road course runs through the infield of the oval, with a long back straight and several heavy-braking zones. It is where Joseph earned his Professional Competition Racing License in August 2025 at age 12, and the venue of more of his race starts than any other.

Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta — Braselton, GA

Four 2027 weekends run at Road Atlanta, including the one that matters most: the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in October. Before it come the FARA Atlanta 200 in February, the Super Tour in March and an Atlanta Region regional in July. The 2.54-mile, 12-turn circuit opened in 1970 and hosts Petit Le Mans; its Esses complex and the plunge through Turns 10a, 10b and 12 to the start-finish line are among the most demanding sequences in American road racing.

VIRginia International Raceway — Alton, VA

The Super Tour visits VIR in April. Opened in 1957 and revived in 2000, the 3.27-mile, 17-turn Full Course on the Virginia and North Carolina line is famous for the Climbing Esses, a flat-out uphill sequence that rewards commitment, and the Oak Tree corner named for the oak that stood at its apex until 2013. It is the longest lap on Joseph's 2027 calendar.

Roebling Road Raceway — Bloomingdale, GA

Joseph races Roebling Road for the first time in April, at a Buccaneer Region regional. Opened in 1959 and owned and operated by the SCCA's Buccaneer Region, the 2.02-mile, nine-turn circuit outside Savannah is flat, fast and flowing, with long sweepers that reward smooth, momentum-carrying driving. For a Spec Miata it is a pure driver's track.

Daytona International Speedway — Daytona Beach, FL

Two CFR-SCCA weekends run on the Daytona road course in 2027: the Daytona Double at the end of July and the SunStroke GP in September. The 3.56-mile, 12-turn layout used by the Rolex 24 combines the infield road course with the 31-degree banking of the tri-oval and the Bus Stop chicane on the back straight. For Spec Miata, the draft on the banking decides as many races as the infield does.

Barber Motorsports Park — Leeds, AL

The Super Tour's late-August stop at Barber runs Saturday to Monday. Opened in 2003 east of Birmingham, the 2.38-mile, 17-turn circuit climbs and falls through about 80 feet of elevation across a manicured park that also houses the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, the largest motorcycle collection in the world. IndyCar races here each spring.
